Action Medical Research - London to Paris Bike Ride 2005
Day 2 - Dover to Abbeville - Thursday 21st July

Day 2 Route Calais to Abbeville - By my trip computer the distance was 83.7 miles (134.7km)  2 miles of which were in Dover, 5h04'23" ride time, average speed of 16.7mph (26.8km/h), max speed of 45mph (73km/h).

A very rude 4.30am get up to ensure we caught our 7am ferry.  The ride from Calais started around 10am French time.  Some good hills and fast clear roads today.  Lots of opportunities for photos. Stopped for a beer about 4k from the finish - well, we'd earned it.  Accommodation was the Hotel Ibis for myself but the group also used the Hotel Mercure and the two groups ate separately.
