Ironman Lanzarote 19th May

Congratulations to Tri-Anglia Members Graham Pigg and Karl Sherry who successfully completed Ironman Lanzarote.  This takes Tri-Anglia's Ironman completions for 2007 to three out of three and to 32 in total.
Karl Sherry Ironman Lanzarote was Karl Sherry's sixth successful Ironman.  This means that he has equaled Simon Edye's title of "Tri-Anglia's" Most Completed Ironmen". And with an entry already in for Ironman Hawaii, the World Long Distance Triathlon Championships that's a title that Karl looks set to take.

Graham Pigg Graham Pigg successfully completed his second Ironman upon this his return to Lanzarote.  His time was faster than last year.

Stacey Eccles Congratulations also to Stacey Eccles.  I met Stacey on a Charity Bike ride in 2004 where we made a pact to tackle triathlon's together in 2005.  Having done Waveney, Crystal Palace, Norwich and London together in 2005, Stacey has gone on to get an Age Group Place in Lucerne 2006 and Ironman Lanzarote was her first long distance triathlon.

Entries are now open for Ironman South Africa 2008.  If you fancy doing this event and get yourself in amongst the first 300 entries you'll get yourself a limited edition event gillet.

 

Ironman France - Nice Sunday 24th June 2007

For Tri-Anglia's Tim Holliday there is now less than 7 days to his Ironman on the French Riviera.  For those of you wishing to check up on Tim's progress on the day, you can do so at Ironman Live.  Tim's race number is 1092.

Having successfully completed the inaugural Ironman UK in 2005 this is Tim's second Ironman. 

 

Ironman Switzerland - Zurich Sunday 24th June 2007

Similarly for the seven members of Tri-Anglia, now known as the Swiss7, they also have less than a week to their longest day. For the seven, who consist of Gareth Walker, Melvin Waters, Peter Chapman, Rob Lines, Sam Kingston, Stewart Ingram and Tim Chen, if successful this will be their first Ironman.

You can also see how the Swiss7 are progressing on race day at Ironman Live.  Their race numbers are: Gareth 1612, Melvin 1617, Peter 1359, Rob 1493, Sam 1476, Stewart 1460 and Tim 1361.
